Ho, ho, ho. I started early this year hoping it will be the first year when I actually send some christmas cards to my friends... It gets much easier if you have new, inspiring goodies to play with. I recently received another parcel from Scrapbook.com filled with new, exclusive products, like stamps, metallic inks and paper pads. You can watch the unboxing video here:
This card was inspired by the gold metallic ink and pretty stamp set called "Wordfetti Holly Jolly". I stamped each circle and used them to create background. Ink is very shiny but I would recommend stamping two or three times (drying ink in between) to get a perfect result. Stamping platform may come handy here. One of the paperd from Christmas Smooth Cardstock Pad was just perfect to create a base for my composition. I finished everything adding a title made with "Merry sentiments" stamp.
Second card is different. This time I wanted to use frost metallic ink so I tried some winter theme. Using "Mod asterisk" stencil, I applied ink with ink blending tool to create snowflakes over the blue cardstock from Cools Smooth Cardstock Pad. I repeated the same process with embossing ink and white embossing powder. It helped me create more dimension and depth. Next step was to build winter scene using "Let it snow" stamp set. I finished the card adding title from "Wordfetti December" stamp set.
